Getting started

How Furrmarket works

Furrmarket connects buyers with kennels. We host listings, messages, storefronts, and books. We do not process payments for animals.

Important: All money for deposits and purchases is arranged directly with the kennel. We never handle those funds.

For buyers

From search to pickup, without Furrmarket holding your money.

1

Search the marketplace

Browse dogs and exotic cats from real kennels and catteries. Filter by breed, location, and species. Sign in to unlock prices and records.

2

Message the kennel

Open a listing and start a conversation. Ask about health testing, parents, pickup, and policies. You talk to the kennel directly. There is no sales middleman.

3

Agree on terms with the kennel

Review their storefront policies, documents, and shipping notes. Confirm deposit rules, balance due, and pickup or transport before you send money.

4

Pay the kennel directly

Deposits and final payments go straight to the kennel through methods they list, such as Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, cash, or check. Furrmarket never collects, holds, or refunds animal sale funds.

5

Pickup and aftercare

Coordinate pickup or transport with the kennel in messages. Keep records of what you agreed. Support after pickup is between you and the kennel.

For kennels

What you get when you open a kennel on Furrmarket. Built to lower costs and cut paperwork, not to take a cut of every litter.

Your public kennel page

Every kennel gets a free page on Furrmarket, like furrmarket.com/kennel/your-name. Buyers find you through search, category browse, and the kennels directory. This is a page on our domain, not a separate custom domain.

Edit your storefront

Set brand colors, banner, logo, tagline, bio, location, policies, shipping notes, and website link. Upload PDF contracts and guarantees. Publish the payment methods you accept (Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and more) with your handles so buyers know how to pay you.

List animals with media and records

Post dogs and exotic cats with photos, optional videos, pricing (visible to signed in buyers), and documents such as vet or registry files. Mark animals available, pending, or sold.

Message buyers in one place

Buyers contact you from a listing. Keep the conversation on Furrmarket so both sides have a clear trail of questions, deposits, and pickup plans.

Kennel Books (your accountant desk)

Track deals, deposits, balances, and refunds. Log how money arrived (Zelle, Venmo, and so on). Record expenses with categories and receipts. See year to date income, expenses, net, and open balances. Export CSV for your CPA.

Invoices

Open any sale and generate an invoice. Print it or save as PDF to send the buyer. Includes asking price, payments logged, and balance due. Furrmarket still does not collect the money.

No cut of animal sales

Furrmarket does not take a percentage when you sell. Keep more of what you earn. Optional subscriptions may come later for premium tools. Animal sale funds always stay between you and the buyer.

Why we do not take payments

Kennels already collect through tools buyers know. Keeping money off Furrmarket keeps us a marketplace only: listings, messaging, storefronts, and kennel books for their own records. Buyers should confirm payment details on the kennel storefront and in messages before sending anything.

Tips before you send money

  • Message the kennel on Furrmarket first.
  • Match payment handles to their public storefront.
  • Ask for a written receipt or confirmation.
  • Read deposit and refund policies before you pay.
  • Never send money to someone who refuses to message on the site.
