Better starts for animals. Fairer costs for kennels.
We built Furrmarket so serious breeders can reach buyers without giving up a cut of every sale, and so buyers can shop with clearer information before they send money.
The problem
Platforms that take deposits and final payments often charge kennels fees on every animal sold. That raises prices for buyers and eats into programs that already spend heavily on health testing, food, and care.
At the same time, the open internet makes it easy for bad actors to post pretty photos and disappear after a wire transfer. Buyers need protection that is more than a pretty storefront. They need visibility into who they are dealing with, what was promised, and how to stay safe when money never touches the marketplace.

Help kennels keep more of what they earn, and help buyers make safer choices through transparency, on platform records, and clear rules of the road.
Lower costs for kennels
We do not take a percentage of animal sales. Kennels list, message, and collect payment their own way. Tools like storefronts and books are built to cut admin work, not skim the litter.
Protection for buyers
We cannot refund money we never held. What we can do is make responsible shopping easier: public policies, payment methods on the kennel page, messaging history, documents, and moderation when someone breaks trust.
How we protect buyers without holding funds
Other marketplaces often protect buyers by holding deposits and final payments. Furrmarket keeps money off the site on purpose so kennels are not charged a cut of every sale. Buyer safety here looks like this:
- Talk on Furrmarket first. Keep questions, deposits, and pickup plans in messages so there is a record of what was agreed.
- Match payment details. Kennels can publish accepted methods and handles on their storefront. If someone asks you to pay a different name, pause.
- Read policies before you pay. Deposit rules, health guarantees, and transport notes belong on the kennel page and in documents they upload.
- See records when signed in. Health and registry files stay with the listing so you can review before you commit.
- Report and remove bad actors. Admins can ban accounts and take down listings. Protection is not a refund from us. It is keeping the marketplace honest.
- Clear education. Our How it works guide walks buyers through a safer path from search to pickup without pretending we can reverse Zelle or Venmo.
